Ian Davenport – Chief Executive
A Bursary recipient himself, Ian is a graduate of Durham University who began his career working for Arthur Andersen and Morgan Stanley. Ian then retrained as a teacher, latterly becoming Senior Tutor at Radley College and Head Master of Blundell’s School. He is a university fellow. He became Chief Executive of SpringBoard in September 2012.
Ian is also a member of a Department for Education boarding advisory group. He is a governor of four independent boarding schools and has been an Economics Tutor at Oxford University and the Chair of Trustees of The Royal Academy for Deaf Education.
David Bassom – Director of Marketing & Fundraising
David leads work to generate voluntary income for the RNCF and awareness of the charity. He has previously served in senior management roles for charities including Barnardo’s, the NSPCC, Tommy’s – The Baby Charity and Blind Veterans UK (formerly St Dunstan’s). David began his career as a journalist, contributing to titles including The Guardian and Radio Times.
Chris Hughes – Director of Operations
Chris is primarily responsible for the RNCF’s allocation of grants to vulnerable children and the charity’s work to find suitable schools for them to attend. She has been at the RNCF since 2006.
